board sheathing under old shakes.

Re-Roof on Green Street in Willow Creek

May, 2014

This two story home in Willow Creek had multiple layers of old roofing - cedar shakes and asphalt both. We removed all of the old roofing and installed plywood sheathing over the old board sheathing. The gaps between the old boards were just too large to install asphalt roofing without a new solid surface. Then, we dried in the roof with ice and water shield, installed new tin in the valleys, and installed Malarkey brand 30 year asphalt shingles in antique brown.
